The Quest for a New Logo

After more than a year of deliberating over ideas and reworking designs, we are thrilled to announce that Quest has launched its new logo. Throughout the process we were intent upon creating a recognizable and differentiated identity, and we think we've done it. This comes at a very important point in our history. With our acquisitions editor Richard Smoley, former editor of the highly respected Gnosis Magazine, having been with us for two years now and the quality and relevance of our titles stronger than ever, we are well poised to reaffirm our presence to the world.

Since 1965, Quest has been delivering works that identify ancient truths in contemporary form. Our logo change communicates Quest's continued commitment to publish books on subjects at the forefront of the cultural conversation. As our mission statement punctuates, Quest Books is dedicated to publishing books of intelligence, readability, and insight for the contemporary spiritual seeker. Our books explore ancient wisdom, modern science, world religions, philosophy, the arts and the inner meaning of life to provide dynamic tools for spiritual healing and self-transformation.

What Does It Symbolize?

It was important for us to keep our trademark "Q" which many have come to know us by but with a far more contemporary and clean look than the old and with multiple layers of meaning. The line and the circle are the oldest and most basic forms known to humanity. As you can see, the sweeping line within the "Q" may be perceived as an open book or even a path. It may also be seen as a bird taking off into flight, a metaphor for the soul's journey. In all instances the logo identifies Quest as a dynamic and reliable resource for all those seeking to transform themselves and the world in turn.
